Heidi Warren

Heidi WarrenBSc(Hons)Physiotherapy

When you ask Heidi about her career before becoming a physiotherapist you will be amazed at what it includes; cleaning, hod carrying and was part of a successful corporate events team management business where amongst other things she drove tanks!

However she found that her true passion was in fact physiotherapy, which has continued to grow ever since she graduated from Hertfordshire University.

Following her qualification Heidi initially worked in private practice, specialising in musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries.  This included attending sessions at Tring Rugby Club where she supported the players throughout their season.  As a rugby player herself Heidi had a real empathy with the players understanding the impact of any injury on their game in the short and long term.

She then went on to work in the NHS, in an acute setting at Hillingdon hospital.  Her work covered a number of specialist areas including medical, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, respiratory and neurology.  Working with 2 nurse specialists, she spent time helping children and adults suffering from respiratory conditions providing treatment plans which meant the patients could go home.

After 4 years Heidi relocated to Kent, moving to an NHS role working within the community so providing patients with treatment within their homes, working with rehabilitation support workers and liaises with the various agencies who support the NHS.

At the core of all that Heidi does is her sincere passion to help her clients by getting to the root cause of their injury / pain / condition, providing them with the best quality in care so they can get on with their lives.

In 2018 using her previous experience both as a player and as a physiotherapist, Heidi will be working alongside Joy Lane Clinic owner, Charlie Bannigan as they provide full sports injury support to Canterbury Rugby Club for the 2018/19 season.

Despite her dedication to her work, Heidi still finds time to personally enjoy all aspects of sport and although she no longer plays rugby she takes full advantage of being located in Whitstable, participating in running, swimming (in the sea) and kayaking when she can.
