Joy Lane CPD provides continuous professional development courses in the area of manual and physical therapy. Our aim is to provide quality further professional development for manual therapists of all disciplines.
The courses focus on practical manual skills and teach a wide variety of techniques from articulation through to grade 5 manipulation (HVT). The course aims to provide the attendees with the ability to successfully diagnosis the patient’s complaint and then how to safely apply techniques to address the findings.
Joy Lane CPD aims to provide courses that will count as CPD hours towards the participants CPD requirements for their professional registration.
Who can attend the courses?
The courses are open to all practitioners and students of manual therapy: physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists, sports therapists, etc. If you are a sports therapist or a sports massage therapist you will need to contact your insurer before attending the course.
Charlie Bannigan graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2003. Before becoming an osteopath he played semi-professional rugby where he developed his interest in sports related injuries and rehabilitation.
He has run the Whitstable Clinic since 2003 and completed a masters degree in sports injury medicine in 2009. He qualified in injection therapy in June 2012.
He has worked with the Kent County Rugby Football Union and Canterbury Rugby Club from 2003 to 2011, and at Folkestone Rugby Club during the 2012-2013 season.
Andy Love graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone over 10 years ago. He has a keen interest in treating sports injuries having worked with the local 1st team rugby squad in Gravesend for 14 years.
As well as a practising Osteopath, he is also currently working at the ESO Teaching Clinic in Maidstone as a 4th year Clinic Tutor.
He enjoys cycling, kayaking and snow skiing in his spare time and has a keen interest in gym-based sports related training, having worked as a gym instructor and personal trainer in the past as well as being involved with coaching both rugby and hockey teams.
